Its probably not the most attractive city for tourists but definitely worth visiting if you travel to Russia. Yeltsin museum, Vysotskyi Tower and museum, Europe/Asia, Churches and ofcourse the nature. #lightthecity#roadtrip

Yellow Crane Tower
The Yellow Crane Tower is Wuhan's most famous attraction. The original 黄鹤楼 was built in AD 223 but it has been rebuilt several times since then. In fact, the tower has been said to mirror the fortunes of China itself. The previous iteration burnt down in the late Qing Dynasty, when Wuhan was a treaty port forced open by the Great Powers. The current version, a convincing copy of the Qing tower (with the addition of a lift for those unable to climb the many stairs) was built during the PRC's opening up in the 1980s. Yellow Crane Tower overlooks the Yangtze and is in a lovely park containing another tower, tranquil gardens and a giant bell you can ring for a modest donation. I recommend going in the mid- to late-afternoon so you can spend a couple of hours enjoying the park before climbing the tower in time to see the sunset. Admission is a little steep but don't cheap out. Yak time! Tibetan cuisine is heavily dependent on yak meat and milk. We tried it in several places in Lijiang and Shangri-la, Yunnan and had what seemed to be an authentic meal in The Silent Holy Stones in the old town of Shangri-la. It was my mother's first time to try hotpot, and it was really good (though with the odd inclusion of crinkle-cut french fries amongst the more traditional ingredients). We also had yakmeat dumplings and a flatbread with yakmeat inside, both of which were delicious. It's not very vegetarian-friendly, I'm afraid. If meeting yaks sounds better than eating them, you can find a couple of very docile ones on the main square in front of the temple, and a tout will probably find you and offer you the chance to sit on its back for a photo. You can also rent traditional Tibetan dress if you're so inclined (we did neither). Qiniangshan Park, on Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen, is a great day trip from anywhere in the Pearl River Delta. The climb to the top is a good challenge and the view from the top is brilliant. The park is huge and there are many trails to choose from. Right now there are many wildflowers over the mountain. I’ve been lucky to see many amazing places in #china. Few, however, compare to the natural beauty found all over #yunnan Province. The scenery on the road from Shangri-La to Lijiang was really incredible. Lots of blue skies and snow-capped mountains. Also enjoyed visiting Lijiang Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s filled with small alleyways and shops. Found an amazing book store and overall had a great time. Highly recommended venturing out here if you have the chance. #unescoworldheritage #lightthecity#roadtrip#urbanexplorer
