Alejandro Gutierrez (AlejandraGuti érrez) was our guide and a knowledgeable sommelier. She greeted us with peach wine, and we rode through the vineyard in a carriage and followed it. The vineyard was once a cattle farm and they found that the small climate of the vineyard allowed multiple varieties so they were able to grow the only Malbec outside Argentina. Our wine education continues. Chardonnay's malolactic fermentation gives them a buttery taste and drinks slightly cooled Pinot Noir. We introduced us to a Cabernet Sauvignon that everyone liked (for us). The setting was lovely too!
