San Jose, capital of Costa Rica, Central American country
Costa Rican Art Gallery, Unique Free Cultural Experience This museum is located in an Art Deco-style building that did not become San Jose's main airport until 1955. Although it must be registered at the front desk, the museum is free. Due to the limited range, Costa Rican art has little moving needles, it is a bit like a French war hero. You find a gentalia photo with a Mickey Mouse doll. This is free - we spent about an hour walking (inside out). Behind the building is a beautiful outdoor garden with sculptures and creative "art installations" inside. Inside is various rooms painted by Costa Rican artists; upstairs is the Golden Room, formerly the airport. All 4 walls are covered with sculptural murals depicting Costa Rican history. Impressive sculptural murals; definitely worth taking some time to enjoy them. ★★★ Overall, this was our first stop to visit the city, very interesting and worth a visit!
