It is located on the northeast coast of Puerto Rico Island, in San Juan Bay, and is the largest port on the island. The port is wide and narrow, and is an important maritime transportation hub between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean. The city was founded in 1508, and the original inhabitants Indians called it Polycon. In 1521, it was occupied by the Spanish colonizer J.
