Mila Pass is the boundary between Lhasa Region and Nyingchi Region. It is at very high altitude. The majestic Mila Mountain is a sacred mountain in the eyes of Tibetan people. There are many prayer flags and written scriptures decorating the pass. At a high place of the mountain pass, stands a stone statue of a Tibetan yak upon which are written words meaning "the Ark of the Snow World." It is one of Mila Mountain's landmarks.
