The small but beautiful St. Jirgen A holiday destination for the rich! The scenery here is beautiful. There are almost no tourists, walking quietly in the meantime, experiencing the joy of the lake and mountains. Stop in the lakeside town of St. Gilgen, and the lovely city hall.
[St. Gilgen] Small town, a small town in the Austrian Lake District, opposite the town of St. Wolfgang, surrounding St. Wolfgang Lake, this is the hometown of the mother of music prodigy Mozart, his mother and sister Used to live here. Many of the buildings in the town have lovely murals painted on the walls, and the walls are painted colorfully, which is very fairytale.
Transportation: At the pier in the small town of St. Wolfgang, you can take a ferry to arrive, 15.2 euros a round trip, half an hour one way, you can also take a ferry ride on the St. Wolfgang Lake by the way, very pleasant.
As few tour groups come here, it is quiet and comfortable. The most famous one is the St Gilgen Town Hall, which is also full of art. After a half-day stroll here, the buildings in the whole town are especially suitable for taking pictures. Afternoon tea in cafes, and walking around the local characteristic souvenir shops, girls like it anyway.
We boarded the cruise in the town of St. Wolfgang, and then disembarked in the town of St. Gilgen. When I slowly drove into the town and docked, I saw the whole view of the town of St Gilgen. It felt simple and simple, without gorgeous buildings and gorgeous colors. After landing, I found that the Christmas atmosphere in the town was very strong, with Christmas decorations covering the streets and alleys, and some interesting street performances. Foreigners like to stand at an open-air table, have a glass of beer, a bag of French fries, chat happily, it's so uncomfortable. The town is small and the city hall is located in the central area. The former residence of Mozart's grandmother is also located in this small town. There are not many people in the town, there are several restaurants, pizza, burgers and so on. There are many vacancies. Foreigners like to eat one and then another one. We forgot this detail at first, and we were still eating pasta and burgers slowly. Why didn’t we want to grill the fish, but the kitchen hadn’t made it yet. We were waiting for us to finish eating. Here, we almost lost time, now it’s quite interesting to recall these episodes.
The city hall here now doubles as a tourist information center for tourists to check tourist information. Not far from the city hall is the hut where Mozart’s mother Anna Maria was born, now the Mozart Memorial. The fountain in front of the city hall is a statue of a young Mozartla violin, and there is an international school nearby.
St. Gilgen’s Town Hall is small and exquisite, very beautiful, and very regional. The surrounding restaurants, pubs, and residences also have the same style. The statue of the little Mozatra violin in front of the door is very attractive to visitors.
