Except for bad weather, the museum is open every day at 11:00 a.m. and is located at the end of a short coastal short circuit in Quintay cove (with clear signs). The space where the museum is located is a restored old Quintay whaling boat; this place is divided into 5 sections covering different topics related to whales, some of which are incomplete or under construction as of January 2020. There are two kinds of materials in English and Spanish, but there are at least 4 of the 5 rooms, and the small room has audiovisual materials. The facilities have free bathrooms.
