The enormous statue of Guanyin Goddess of Nanshan is one of the tallest in the world located in Sanya, Hainan Province. It is a famous attraction in China that you must visit especially if you beleive in Buddhism. The thousands of mini golden statues inisde the temple are one of a kind. Cameras aren't allowed once you enter the temple so I couldn't show you how emmaculate the statues are inside. Very clean and well maintained. One of the best temple that we have entered in Asia and we have been around. So it is worth the money. The temple is surrounded with a massive and beautiful park so you can easily spend your entire day here. Ticket price: Main entrance ticket costs 108 but in order for you to enter the other temple then you have to pay extra. The main Guanyin Statue temple charges 25rmb per person.. So better yet prepare 150-180 in case you wanna see every temple inside that require extra payments . ‼️Tip: 1. Rent an ebike so you can just drive from your hotel. Hainan, Sanya is definitely a must go place where you can enjoy both mountain and sea! Guanyin of Nanshan is an unique Buddhist Temple and you will be amazed by how grand the Guanyin statue is! Apart from that, you can also enjoy seaview there! Yalong Bay Tropic Paradise Forest Park is a interesting place to visit for those that likes nature and it's also the filming location for Chinese drama called "亲爱的热爱的" also known as "Go Go Squid". We decided to go First Market for our seafood feast! However, do beware of some scam for the pricing of the seafood. Other than that, the food are delicious! Last but not least, the sunset view there are awesome!

Pictures cannot capture the sheer magnitude of the bodhisattva Guanyin. We took a DiDi from our hotel in Yalong Bay to visit and walked to the base of the statue after we purchased entrance tickets. We were excited to learn that there is an entire, multi story shrine located inside of the statue and spent quite a while exploring the beauty inside. Once we reached the sixth floor, we left through an exit that took us to the base of the statue. The views were stunning! There is a lot to explore around the area. Getting There - You can take a bus which goes all the way to the park or you can take a Didi which cost me 150rmb Attractions - The park is big and beautiful. There is so much to see and photograph. Unfortunately there were heavy rains so I couldn't see much except for the temple under the Goddess. Hotels - I stayed at the Phoenix Island Resort on Phoenix Island. It's famous for having bathtubs on the balcony of each room. Food & Restaurants - Plenty of food vendors on site. Only Chinese food, no western. In #sanya , you can find a huge and peaceful looking Guanyin statue in Nanshan. It is set beautifully in the sea and near a very nice #beach This amazing statue is more than 100 meters tall and set in the sea. It should still be one of tallest statues around. To access it, you have to walk through a long bridge. To get there, easiest is to follow a day tour where they will bring you there directly and give you clear instructions on access. Quite a lot of walking is required so do be prepared. You can see a different culture there. it’s not just only the Buddha statue, so you can walk around the area which I enjoyed most. I took a local bus from Sanya bay which cost 12 yen ish. that was actually interesting. You should try if you have time. #holidayvacation

Pay attention to sun protection, as the sun is harsh and there are long walking distances within the park, and you need to take off your glasses and hat when entering the hall to worship. 🧣Free Activities: ✨On the left side of the Circular Hall under the Sea-based Guanyin, you can get a free stamp, a 50-pound blessed stamp, one free stamp per person. ✨Opposite the Thirty-three Guanyin Hall, in the Nanshan Retreat, you can draw/interpret lots for free, asking for marriage, safety, wealth, and success. ✨Inside the Thirty-three Guanyin Hall, you can copy Buddhist scriptures for free to pray for blessings. ‼️tips: The total walking distance in the park is 6 kilometers, it is recommended to take the sightseeing bus, the ticket price is the same if you buy midway, and the park does not provide one-way tickets. To hug the Buddha's feet, you need to take the elevator to the 4th floor and then climb 3 flights of stairs to reach the top, first circle around the Buddha's feet before hugging them. No need to bring your own incense, there is free incense available at every worship spot in the park. When offering incense, donate incense money as you wish, so it counts as your contribution (can be small amounts like one or five yuan). Do not blow out the incense with your mouth, gently fan it out with your hand, and offer incense with your left hand. When entering the hall, enter from the left and exit from the right, do not step on the threshold. When taking a photo with a Buddha statue, do not make a peace sign ✌️ as it will cut off your blessings, you can put your hands together and close your eyes lightly. When making a wish, be focused, report your name to yourself first, then start wishing, do not make wishes casually, and you must fulfill your vow once the wish is granted. No photography is allowed inside the Circular Hall, always remember. Luggage storage is available at the tourist service center at the ticket office, 5 yuan per locker per day.
