I will say that more than a bar is an experience. Canon is the kind of place that provides the perfect setting for the star of the show which are the very elaborate drinks that you get. The cocktails are not cheap but they are well worth it and provide you with the opportunity to explore new flavor profiles and combinations. My advise is to arrive early, later you will have to wait 30 min to an hour to get in.

From the outside to the inside layout, there is no Japanese characteristics; the dishes are not in line with Japanese tradition; it is like a simple and generous modern restaurant: the materials are exquisite, the menu is replaced every month, novel, and the simple way for each person to order a cocktail is just right. It is very pleasant to order a cup of cocktail occasionally.

Very good food from a choice of very unusual dishes, all very moderately priced. The restaurant is extremely casual, with interesting and funky decor. The service was pleasant and good.

Watching the hot, crisp durian devil cheese pizza, pull a long cheese line in the tear, so thick durian and cheese and pulls people can&#39;t help but swallow. One bite, soft and sweet, strong fragrance.

We came here for breakfast, it was fantastic, although there were a lot of guests, the service exceeded my expectations. Recommended if you are looking for a good value restaurant. The waiter Dinuka was great and provided us with great service. The food was delicious. Will come again next time.

A bit out of the way from downtown (Uber will get you there). Wonderful dinner and wine selection. Indoors a bit congested but we ate outside which was nice.

The owners likely don&apos;t want your business if you&apos;re conservative (even as a liberal, I find their overt leftist politicking to be offensive), and they&apos;re pretty aggressive and lacking in humility and self-awareness when customers complain (you can get a small sense of this by looking at their responses to negative reviews on this and other platforms).  But that having been said, they have without a doubt one of the best whiskey and cocktail bars in the city.  So reviewing Canon is difficult and raises questions similar to whether to "like" Michael Jackson or R.Kelly music despite their being gross people. Can you separate the person from the art?  I&apos;ve been a customer of Canon for years.  I&apos;ve probably spent a few thousand dollars there over many visits, and I even own their cocktail book.  The design of the bar is exquisite, with lovely dark wood, great lighting, and fantastically creative and lovely glassware and other bar trinkets.  I can&apos;t express enough how lovely it is to sit in this bar (the front is better than the now expanded backroom, although it&apos;s great that it&apos;s now much easier to get a seat).  Their whiskey catalog is literally worldclass, as is their range of available cocktails (they have a regular cocktail menu but you can order off menu, including ones from their book).  Their food menu is also quite nice and similarly upscale.  Their bartender quality slipped for a while but I think it&apos;s back on the upswing.  I&apos;ve heard (secondhand from other bartenders in the city, so possibly wrong) that they don&apos;t treat their staff that great, and they have had a bit of turnover.  A few visits ago one of their waitresses tried to tell me their 12 yr old bottle of Redbreast was like a 15 yr old bottle because they&apos;d owned it for 3 years (no - whiskey doesn&apos;t age like wine). If you are in the mood for a cool cocktail or an incredible whisk(e)y list, you have come to the right place.  I have been to a lot of great whisk(e)y bars.  This was one of my favorites.  In particular, they have the largest collection of American Whiskeys (bourbon, rye, single malt, etc.) that I have ever seen.  We loved it so much, we went here twice during our stay!

My son and I walked into this bar on a  Sunday evening with no reservation; however, I would definitely recommend a reservation as it is small and quickly had a line out the door.  The ambiance is great and the unique drinks were delicious.  Try the Lawnboy or the Cannon, both were phenomenal!  Expect to pay approximately $20 a drink.  You&apos;ll never forget your trip to this tiny bar with tons of energy.

Wish I could write about the actual drinks or food but my party was turned away rudely as possible. We went before the place opened and were the first ones in line. When they opened the doors we tried to be seated and were informed they cant seat parties of 5. Normally I would totally accept that, it was initially our mistake not realizing that but we were with a group that had been there before with a party of 6. We were also staring at an empty bar as the first ones in there and trying to see if they could make any accommodations for us, we offered to separate our party, we asked to sit at the bar, everything was shut down rudely and it was very clear they were not willing to accommodate in any way. Honestly have never seen anything like it, would never go back.

Went back to Canon this past weekend and as usual was greeted by great service, great food and fantastic cocktails and an amazing collection of liquor. Aside from the above, sit at the bar, be brave, take the initiative an chat up your neighbors. What a great opportunity to meeting interesting people and share stories, experiences and recommendations.

If you enjoy going to some of the best bars in the world than Canon is surely on this exclusive list. Small but packs a huge punch with every type of drink to enjoy. Absinthe to WhiskEY. Make reservations - pay $25 pp - and it comes off your bill! If you don&#39;t normal spend that much on drinking - than save your money and Don&#39;t Go. It will make room for the Warriors who do.
