What travelers say:
We saw a good review on ladyironchef and seriously 30 banchans (side dishes)? We had to see it for ourselves. It was near Namsan Seoul Tower where we wanted to go later anyway. No wonder it was recommended by ladyironchef. Was the most amazing traditional banchan experience, my most memorable meal on our trip (and we ate a lot of good food during our 8 days, we are Singaporeans you know LOL..). There were really 30 banchans! I counted! This included rice and an individual BIG portion of soybean paste soup which tasted heavenly I finished it to the last drop. If you love Korean food like me, you must try this place. Short walk from itaewon subway. We ordered the steamed egg and pan-fried croaker. The croaker was surprisingly yummy, robust flavour. But you are not required to order dishes. You can pay 8000won to enjoy the 30 banchans which are refillable and more than enough to keep you satiated. Only the soup was not refillable but the ajumma gave us EACH a BIG bowl (those black stew pots in the photo) so no complaints :) P.S. I note that some reviewers here went to the wrong Sigol Bapsang and gave a poor review. This is a very old rustic traditional place, 16-18 seater. Signage in Korean we almost missed it.
