The characteristics of Bukchon’s hanok can be summarized in two points, namely, the "evolutionary old method" and the "decorative tendency". Although compared with traditional hanok, it does not have complete character, such as low roof slope, round beams, double eaves, narrow and many rooms, etc., but Bukchon hanok embodies the structure and beauty of hanok. From the Hanok advertisements at the time, it can be seen that it reflects the requirements of urban housing such as density and anonymity, and the Hanok in Bukchon has continued to develop as a new urban housing type.

When I visited the Hanok Village, I saw the Folklore Experience Center. There is a museum where you can make Hanbok, experience knot making, brewing and other traditional crafts, but the world opened late. The traditional hanoks here have been inherited from generation to generation, and they are of high value. It can be seen from the cars and courtyards that the residents here are low-key but high in status.
The cultural center of Bukchon Hanok Village is in this hanok. It not only introduces the history of Bukchon, but also the tradition. Some of the folk culture of Korean houses, including pickled kimchi and ginseng wine, is not bad.
It’s really beautiful here, there are traditional architectural styles everywhere, and people are following traditional cultural methods. Everything is so natural and beautiful, but the only problem is that there are really too many tourists.
Bukchon Hanok is a famous and must-see attraction in Seoul. They are all traditional old house buildings, similar to the hutongs and courtyards in old Beijing. There are still people living in them, so remember not to make a loud noise when you go here. It will not disturb the residents. The scenery is very beautiful, very close to Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Blue House.
