Dongdaemun, Seoul's clothing wholesale market. Every August, during the Korean holiday season, shopping malls will be completely closed for ten days and a half months. The famous Douta Douta was renovated for one month. We just missed the season when we couldn't compete in the East Gate. Nevertheless, there is no regret or influence at all. Shopping itself is the second goal. Here's a special trip: the world's largest non-standard building, DDP Design Square, designed by British architect Zaha Hadid, known as the Queen of Architecture. Shopping itself is the second goal. Here's a special trip: the world's largest non-standard building, DDP Design Square, designed by British architect Zaha Hadid, known as the Queen of Architecture. Especially dazzling, DDP's exterior is covered with 45133 aluminium sheets of different shapes, and using the most sophisticated design techniques, it supports super-large roofs without using pillars, showing different scenery with different viewing positions. There is no detailed look inside the DDP. It is too big and has enough time to browse carefully, including art hall, exhibition hall, design laboratory, creative market and Dongmen historical and cultural park. The address is DDP at No. 1 of Dongmen Historical and Cultural Park Metro Station.
Of course, we can't miss the DDP in the East Gate Design Square in Seoul. We have to say it's very shocking. Only by experience can we understand the greatness of the designers and engineers. The whole building is magnificent and organic. It's natural. It's like a thing coming from outer space, near the wall of the building, looking up. The structure of the building's skin is all-encompassing, and the rules of the metal plate spliced together are changing. Some panels are with small holes, which emit light inside at night, making the whole building like a breathing creature. The scene is very spectacular. The inside of the square is a design fair. There are various designer brands and creative products. This shows the support of the whole country to the creative industry. Five-star recommendation! ~
I heard that it was the work of a late designer, and I really admire it. This is actually a design center. There are many products designed by designers from different countries in the world. And the exterior of this square is designed to look like a spaceship, highlighting its extraordinary, innovative ideas. I thought Dongdaemun was a commercial shopping mall, but I didn't think there was such a square. It was very unexpected and worth visiting.
I really went to the Rose Sea. At about 5 p.m., it was still very bright. I turned around in the DDP design center. There were many creative designs. I asked the shop where Rose Sea was when I had dinner. I was told in English that it was over in October last year. In fact, the Rose Sea is not next to or on the roof of the building as we understand it, but in the historical and cultural park behind the building, white LED roses dot the grass of the park. Passers-by people stop to take pictures, and the scene is much more beautiful than the photos. We went in the middle of April 2016. I don't know when it will end. I'm interested in seeing it. Metro Line 2, Line 4 and Line 5 are all accessible.
Super beauty, no money, but definitely worth visiting the art place - the fluorescent flowers at night, infinite beauty. The specialty of architecture and the fluency of lines also make children run around the architecture excitedly, lighting up a good place for artistic aesthetic enlightenment.
Dongmen Cultural Design Square! Design, culture, commodities, a rich sense of modernity, combined with Seoul's history, the new landmark of the East Gate, shopping, tourism, leisure good place, the goods inside are also very creative, the price is OK! Recommended!
DDP East Gate Design Square attracts us, two huge irregular oval buildings, can not see the angle and straight line, like two spaceships. Designed by Zaha Hadid, the world's top designer, the building was officially opened to the public on March 21, 2014. DDP means DREAM, Design, PLAY. There are three floors underground and four floors above ground. When we went, we didn't open all the doors, we only saw part of them. According to reports, indoor and outdoor are all curve design, no edges and corners, no square windows, we can see that even stone steps are rounded corners. According to the Seoul government, DDP is the first multicultural space in the world with the concept of "the birthplace of design and creation industry" and it is a comprehensive cultural space established to achieve the goal of sustainable development in Seoul. With the design concept of creating and sharing with the public, an open cultural platform for communication with the world is established on the basis of innovation and creativity that highlights Korean characteristics. The building has two art halls with more than 1000 seats and an international conference hall. The cultural center is located on the 2nd floor to the 4th floor above ground, where you can enjoy Korean creative products and the latest global design trends. The design paradise on the 4th floor improves the scientific thinking and imagination of children and adolescents by experiencing various latest design works. This unique building can take amazing pictures from many angles.
The East Gate Design Square is the largest non-standard building in the world. It looks like a spaceship and can be arrived by subway. The night scene is more beautiful than the day. It has been built for five years before it is built. It is a concentration camp for small object design. If you go through it, you can see it.
