Serengeti National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
I've infiltrated the Maasai tribe! The "terrifying upright ape" who fights lions alone
On a safari in Tanzania, I passed by a Maasai tribe
Of course, I had to see the legendary Maasai people who eat raw meat and drink blood, and fight large carnivores
There are about 20 Maasai tribes in the Serengeti area
There is a welcome ceremony when you enter the village, with men and women separated
Dressed in Maasai clothing, wearing a large necklace, a quick change of outfit
You can also join their dance, it's a fun experience!
They demonstrated how to make fire by drilling wood, rubbing a wooden stick on a piece of wood, and after it smokes, the fallen wood chips are placed in a block of grass that is easy to ignite and blown on, and the flame comes out! 🔥 Seeing it with my own eyes is quite magical~
Taking a photo with Maasai women, their ears are full of piercings, hanging various earrings, making a crisp sound when they shake their heads~
The village is small, surrounded by mud houses, the houses are very simple, you can say that apart from the bed, there is a stove for making fire, it's really a minimalist life...
Children are in school, the so-called school is a classroom of a thatched house, Maasai children have started learning English
On the way out of the village, I saw many Maasai herders. In order to protect the cattle and sheep, fighting with lions and cheetahs is also one of their necessary survival skills.
People who have been in the city for too long have almost forgotten their terrifying upright ape genes. I always thought that humans are very fragile, prone to illness, afraid of cold and heat, but after coming to Africa, I realized that being able to survive in such a survival of the fittest grassland, to continue to exist, to become the top of the food chain, human combat power is actually far beyond our own imagination.

Day 3 safari: Serengeti National Park
another 8 hour trip exploring one of the greatest wilderness area; Serengeti National Park (14,750 km²). said to be the habitat of 500 species of birds & 300 species of mammals
we are still not lucky to witness the National Geographic kinda action of animals chasing & feasting each other. but we spotted leopard, simba, pumba the wild hog, more zebras, giraffe and more animals
The Serengeti is one of those places I dreamt of visiting and happily, it more than lived up to my expectations. Unfortunately we didnt get to witness the world’s greatest natural spectacles: the annual migration.

Serengeti National Park
Chances are that you have dreamt of Africa, and when you did, you probably dreamt about the Serengeti. Countless wildlife movies have been recorded in the Serengeti, and with good reason: this is the home of the Great Migration and may very well be one of the last true natural wonders on planet earth.
Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Join us on a safari and explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom; gaze upon the Great Migration in awe or find an elusive leopard in a riverine forest. Or perhaps see everything from a bird’s-eye view and soar over the plains at sunrise during a hot air balloon safari. Accommodation options come in every price range - the sound of lions roaring at night is complimentary.

Serengeti Balloon Safaris Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Going to Africa to see an animal migration is one of the dreams of many people. Many people choose to go to the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya to see animals. A few people will choose to go to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Which country is worth more? Go
difference 1 : area - Tanzania's Serengeti area is 14,670 square kilometers, 10 times that of Kenya's Masai Mara, Masai Mara is small, about 1,500 square kilometers, equivalent to Beijing Changping The area of the district. It takes about 1 week to visit Tanzan in depth and almost 2-3 days in Masai Mara, Kenya.
Difference 2: Animals - Many people think that the migration of wildebeest occurs only in the Masai Mara. In fact, the migration of wildebeests is a recurring process. They migrate every day, and 1.5 million wildebeests have 10 months a year. Staying in Serengeti, part of the wildebeest (about 40%) enters the Masai Mara every July-August. 70~80% of the scenes of animals crossing the river occurred in Serengeti. The
Serengeti area is large, the number of animals is large, and the animals are more wild. The lion hunting is often seen. Tanzan has more than 3,000 lions. Animals in Kenya are used to people and cars. They are indifferent, basically lose their wildness and become dull.
Difference 3: Number of tourists The Tanzanian government pays more attention to animal protection and strictly limits the number of tourists in the park. Of course, it is inseparable from the supervision of international organizations. At the beginning of the establishment of the Tanzanian National Park, it was established that it did not develop mass tourism at the expense of the environment. The tourism industry in Kenya has developed very early. Every year during the peak season from June to October, 10,000 tourists flock to the Masai Mara every day. Tanzania has only a few hundred thousand visitors a year.
Difference 4: Hotel price - Tanzania strictly limits the number and grade of hotels. There are only 5 hotels in Serengeti, a total of 800 rooms, all of which are 5 star luxury hotels (the cheapest is also 220 per day / People, the most expensive is 1,000/person), and the expensive price limits the amount of tourists. Kenya is on the low-end road of the masses. Thousands of small hotels or tent camps have been built along the Masai Mara gate, ranging in price from 10 to 100.
Summary: The difference between the two is like the difference between the Badaling Great Wall and the Wild Great Wall. Commercialization of Masai Mara, the original ecology of Serengeti. If the holiday time is limited, it is not afraid of tourists getting together, just to get a card, watch wild animals, go to Masai Mara in Kenya; love wild animals, photography enthusiasts, have enough holidays, have a higher travel budget friends, then Just go to Serengeti in Tanzania.
According to the understanding, the Tanzanian government pays more attention to animal protection and strictly limits the number of tourists in the national park. Serengeti has not been commercially packaged and has not allowed travel agencies to make large-scale commercial promotion. At the beginning of the establishment of the Tanzanian National Park, it was established that it did not develop mass tourism at the expense of the environment. Kenya has chosen the Volkswagen road, and thousands of small hotels or tent camps have been built along the Masai Mara gate. Animals are used to people and cars, indifferent, and basically lost their wildness. While Tanzania strictly limits the number and grade of hotels, the Serengeti hotels are very few and expensive. In the busy season, basically one room is hard to find, and the expensive price limits the number of tourists.
The difference between the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya and the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania is like the difference between the Badaling Great Wall and the Wild Great Wall. Commercialization of Masai Mara, the original ecology of Serengeti. If you have enough holidays and want to see as many wild animals as you can in a limited time, go to Masai Mara in Kenya. If you have plenty of time and want to see the most original and original wildlife, then go to Tanzania. Lengetti.
Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Reunion with the World: Tanzania
We can finally reunite with the world, and my first choice is Tanzania in Africa.
Here is the paradise of global safaris. Tanzania is also the homeland of the great animal migration. You can see the great animal migration here all year round!
The preferred flights to fly here are Qatar Airways or Ethiopian Airlines, which can take you from Beijing to Kilimanjaro International Airport! oek--jro
Then let's start from Arusha!
You can stay here for two days and then go to Mount Engerororo!
The highlight is Serranegati. You can stay here for five days!
I personally recommend the Four Seasons Hotel.
