Shanghai Waterworks Science & Technology Museum

The Yangshupu Water Plant, which was built in 1883 and officially supplied to the outside world, is affiliated to Shanghai Water City North Co., Ltd. In 1880, Shanghai Yingshang established Shanghai Water Supply Co., Ltd. in London, England, and began to build a water plant on the Huangpu River in 1881. The water plant is located at 830 Yangshupu Road, designed by British designer Hart. Yangshupu Water Plant is one of the earliest water plants in the national water supply industry and has the largest production capacity. The shape of the building is in the form of a traditional British castle. The load-bearing wall is made of water brick walls, embedded with red brick waist line, the surrounding wall body pressure gap, the pressure ceiling and window frame, waist line are all made of cement powder convex line, and the wall turning junction is the shape of cement meteorite. Like a medieval English castle, especially the decorative elements, the building has become an abnormal number in the industrial plant. In 2013, it was listed in the seventh batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country. On January 27, 2018, it was selected in the first batch of lists of China's industrial heritage protection list. Today, it has become a beautiful scenery along the Yangpu River.

I went to Yangpu Riverside on the weekend and came to the famous Shanghai Water Science and Technology Museum. Unfortunately, during the epidemic, the Science and Technology Museum was temporarily closed and did not enter. Shanghai Water Exhibition Hall is a exhibition hall to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Shanghai Water Supply. On December 24, 2003, it officially opened at the historic Yangshupu Water Factory. The classical castle-style building complex in the UK is very beautiful, so I am looking forward to when I can go in.

Yangshupu Road Water Plant Museum actually used a part of the space on the original Yangshupu Water Plant to open up to the outside world to introduce the historical process of natural water. Unfortunately, the original part of Asia's largest water plant that is still serving the city is not open to the outside world, but the outside The road is still good with the Pujiang River.

It is only open every Tuesday. You can visit it for free under the registration of the front desk. The building is very distinctive. If the sun is good, you can take good photos. The area is not large. There is a three-story exhibition hall. The basement floor introduces the history of Yangshupu and Shanghai tap water. The first floor is mainly the current introduction of Shanghai tap water. The second floor is some creative interaction and future prospects, you can take your children to see, or a place with a long knowledge.

My heart has always wanted to go, and today I went as I wish. Keep in mind that they are only open every Tuesday, and they take a lunch break at noon. They also take a rest during the national holidays. Arrive at 10:30 in the morning and rest at 11:00. Let it go for an hour and a half at 1:30 p.m. Rest at 3 p.m. That is to say, open for one and a half hours in the morning and in the afternoon respectively.
