“Little Venice” of China. This town was the perfect place to spend the day. I thought it would be super expensive to get on the boat but, for two people we spent 150 RMB (21 USD) to ride for 15 minutes. when you walk through the ancient buildings past the water streams there are many shops to buy souvenirs, food, and even places where you can dress up in Chinese traditional wear and take pictures. I definitely enjoyed getting a fish pedicure. This place was ancient but beautiful and I will be back. ☺️
After work, I needed to relax and get away from the city rush. My friends and I decided to go to Zhujiajiao ancient town, even though it would take us about two hours to get there. Even though we didn't meet at the same time, it was easy to find each other (note that we were never there). People are very kind and friendly, I highly recommend it to everyone!
Driving from ShangHai HongQiao Railway Station, it will arrive in about forty-five minutes. A typical ancient town in the south of the Yangtze River does not require tickets. If you don't pay the scenic spots, you will not have tickets. Only the classroom planting garden, the big Qing post office and the yuan Jin temple are worth seeing. Others such as the watercolor art gallery, Handicraft Exhibition Hall, Town God's Temple, Tong Tian and Yao Hao, the Museum of Humanities and arts are very common and should be open for free. Ancient town is still very busy, there are a lot of people and snacks. When tired, you can find a teahouse to sit down and sip tea slowly, with snacks, and enjoy a leisurely and comfortable life.
Zhujiajiao should be the most famous ancient town in Shanghai. Scenic spots are also free of charge. Of course, you can buy tickets if you want to visit the small scenic spots inside. Because at the end of the year and New Year's Day, tourists like knitting and walking to the Free Life Bridge, you will find that there are many people on the bridge, which can be described as "shoulder-to-shoulder heel". There are many scenic spots in the ancient town. Personally, I think the most worthwhile one is the class plantation garden (a small but unique private garden in Jiangnan), which likes the Moon Tower most and also has a library. Another is the yuan Jin temple and the Zhujiajue Daqing post office. The scenic spot closes at 4:30. Town God's Temple does not go to many old snacks in the old town. Here it is not stated one by one. Here, eat enough. Ha ha. With line 17, go to Qingpu for a visit.

People who have never been to Zhujiajiao do not understand the beauty of the water countryside in the south of the Yangtze River. At the end of every lane, they can suddenly enjoy a new landscape, either water, bridge, yard or exquisite hanging tower. Zhujiajiajiao is not a big place. Walking away is just to let off the prosperity of both sides of the bridge. But if you can sit down and let your thoughts go for a day, you will like this place more than the tourists who rush past. The hydrophilic lane, winding forward, can always remind you of a familiar memory.
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, located in Qingpu, Shanghai, is the first fully planned water town of Shanghai Municipal Government. Its inland rivers are vertical and horizontal, and its water surface is vast. The ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties are relatively concentrated and complete. A series of ancient buildings such as the Suzhou style garden, "class garden", Town God's Temple, Daqing post office and so on, add a lot of humanistic atmosphere to the ancient town. Local snacks such as granny's meat dumplings and halogen feet make the people who play in the ancient town more satisfied with their eyes and mouthfuls.
