Cungengtang is the largest existing residential house in Zhongdu Town, which has been well maintained. In the Qing Dynasty, it was once famous and second to none with "Sanlitang" (Jiji) and "Baierjian" (reconstructed to be Tiandetang). It is known as "Nine Halls and Ten People Well", and is well-known.
"Cun Geng Tang" is an ancient large-scale building with traditional Hakka characteristics. It was built between 1716 and 1781 AD (the late Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty), with a total area of more than 13,000 square meters. It is the largest existing and well-maintained area in Zhongdu Town. The private houses are known as "Nine Halls and Eighteen Wells" and are well-known.
This is the second time I came to Shanghang. The southern Hakka culture is truly ancient and profound!
