It is a great place for a day trip. Not too far from Shangri-la, you can take a bus from just outside Old Town, just ask at the information centre. You can enjoy walking, rafting and zip line ride. You will also visit a temple and walk on glass floor with the canyon underneath you.

Balagezong is a relatively new sight in Shangri-La. We were not sure if it’s worth going but turned out it became the highlight of the trip. Gorgeous scenery plus glass bottom viewing platform make the experience unforgettable.

Looking for a great place for a fall hike? I was blown away by Balagezong National Park near Shangri-La in Yunnan Province. It’s simply spectacular and best enjoyed in the late fall after tourist season. The number of guests is far lower and everything much nicer that way. It takes a solid day to visit. #mynovgetaway

Balagezong National Park is a phenomenal place in Northern #yunnan Province. If you’re staying in nearby Shangri-La, it’s totally worth it to take a day and visit Balagezong. You’ll spend a fair bit of time on the bus, but there are several spots where you get out and walk. The scenery is fantastic!

Follow the winding mountain road from the four thousand elevations of the Shambhala Mountain
to the village of Bara, to the Shangri-La Grand Canyon
this section of the mountain road, repaired for ten years
once the Balaguezong nowhere Highways, more than a decade ago, were once the depths of the mountains that took more than five days to walk out.
Today, from the airport to the foot of the mountain, it is only 2 hours.
Sna Dingzhu is the "light" of the entire village of Bara.
Standing in front of Barra Dolma Lakang, looking far away from the village of Bara.
In the hinterland of this mountain, 32 families lived here for generations, and the years of 1300 years passed quietly.

Introduction
Balagezong Grand Canyon offers breathtaking natural scenery. Here, you can visit the deep canyon, the awe-inspiring snowy mountains. You can choose to kayak in the valley, or visit the primitive, photogenic ancient Tibetan villages. You will also see a thousand-year Bodhi tree, the branch of which resembles human palms. It's quite fantastic. The naturally-formed Buddhist tower is also a special attraction in the park. You have to trek from the end of the Jiala village road in order to visit the Buddhist tower.

This is an amazing place and somewhere I’d recommend everyone visiting Shangri-La visit. The bus runs from near the old town in the morning and you arriving back by maybe 7pm. The walking parts of the national park are some of the most spectacular places you will see in Yunnan!
The landscape is absolutely breathtaking and is definirely worth a visit. The most courageous ones will have a chance to kayak and use a zipline across two sides of the mountain.
when I came to Shangri-La, one of my friends told me the story of Si Na Ding Zhu,and how he made a road to Balagezong. It was so amazing. Then we went there by car. Arriving at the scenic, the staffs are very warm-heartedand friendly. after a short relax, we went to Gezong Holy Mountain, Great Canyon, Bala Village and Plateau Lake. oh, my gold! it''s a so long junery and I was a little tired at last, but it''s so beautiful and wonderful, with the power of natural. The Bala village gives me the most profound impact, It just like someplace from the ancient time. people were so friendly and they arouse my mind something, that is about life and living. Now, I''ve come back to New York, I should love my famliy, my friends, my work, and my life more. That is an amazing Balagezong and if I have time, I must go there the second time with my family!!!
I was shocked when I came to Balagezong! The Balagezong has the story of the heroic figure of the contemporary Yugongsina, with beautiful starry sky and beautiful scenery. Bingquan Health Toast Manor has excellent service. Special manor housekeeper Ram and travel guide Xiao Yang Xiaojiang carefully arranged our four-day itinerary, which made our second trip to Balagezong this year perfect!
