I visited the national park mainly because of the Bitahai
The Beta Sea in Shangri-La is a highland lake surrounded by virgin forests, surrounded by woody paths spread along the shoreline of the lake, sometimes through the long-haired red bean fir forests, the lake is pure and calm, full of mystery.
The Bitahai Nature Reserve is located in the eastern part of Zhongdian County in northwest Yunnan Province, 25 kilometers away from the county. The reserve is centered on the Bita Sea and covers a total area of 840 square kilometers. The Beita Sea is about 3 km long and 1 km wide. In Tibetan, the Beita Sea is called "Bita Decu". "Bita" means a cow blanket, "de" means a demon and "wrong" means the sea. Beita Haisu is called the Pearl of the Plateau, and the lake is 3,538 meters above sea level, which is the highest lake in Yunnan Province. Historically, it was a submerged depression, and the Quaternary formed the present plateau with the strong uplift of the Tibet Plateau.
In fact, Shudu Lake is also very beautiful, but the weather during that period of time was overcast and did not show its best condition. When I arrived behind the Bita Sea, the sky cleared and rainbows appeared. It was so beautiful. In the high altitude area, after walking for a long time, I feel a little tired, and I feel so good.
