Come to Shanwei, Guangdong for the holidays and enjoy a different experience!
❤️ Let's talk about the itinerary first: three days and two nights, but actually, I think two days and one night is also OK! Workers and self-driving tourists can totally follow this itinerary! You can adjust it according to the weather and your own habits, that's OK too!
🌴Day1. Friday:
Arrive in Shanwei in the afternoon/evening, go straight to Er Ma Road for dinner (snacks and seafood stalls)
🌴Day2. Saturday:
Have beef brisket hotpot for lunch
In the afternoon (1-7 pm) rent a car to visit Honghai Bay
In the evening, eat at a local recommended seafood restaurant (Ji Wang Restaurant)
🌴Day3 Sunday:
Visit Jintian Bay Beach in the morning
Er Ma Road at noon, and in the afternoon visit Er Ma Road's specialty shops and Rongtai Market
❤️ Next, some recommendations: (No disappointments throughout the trip, except for Shengji brine food on Er Ma Road, which I personally found a bit salty)
❤️ Personal must-eats
1. Sister's oyster omelette from the small pushcart on Er Ma Road (price 20 per serving, we just randomly chose a place to order, and it was surprisingly delicious), and the pork rib rice cake on Er Ma Road (price 12.15, choose your own, there are many shops making this, just find one that steams it fresh)
2. Cup Cup Fresh, we two drank eight cups in three days, be careful it seems to open after 1 pm!!! (average price 10 yuan, personally recommend mango passion fruit and bitter melon cucumber lemon, my friend thinks the milk series is safe! Dragon fruit blackcurrant doesn't taste good, it's just sweet water, if there are many people, you can scan the QR code to order in advance)
3. Beef brisket hotpot is a must-eat, first marinated then boiled, very flavorful (we were planning to go to Deji, but Deji was not open, so we went to a nearby couple's small shop called Yelaili Beef Brisket Hotpot, we spent an average of fifty yuan per person, the owner said it has been open for more than twenty years, beef brisket and offal are 90 per jin or per kilogram, I forgot the exact, you can order separately or together, we two ordered the mixed, there were beef brisket, offal, beef balls, beef cakes, and we added rice noodles as the main dish, really delicious!)
4. Ji Wang Restaurant
The environment is very nice, mostly local family gatherings, friends dining together. We spent only 270 for five dishes, you can decide the portion size yourself, just go to the seafood area to order, a guy will serve you, for example, what flavor you want, how many people, what portion size, everything will be arranged clearly! The price is also very affordable! We saw two people wanting to eat more seafood, so we ordered garlic steamed squid scallops, ginger onion fried crab, some kind of clam winter melon soup (just tell them how many people will drink), salt and pepper pipi shrimp (half a jin), steamed sea fish (two small ones), the ingredients were very fresh, the chef's skills were also good, a super good experience!
❤️ Must-visit places:
1. The cleanest sea is the Glass Sea
2. The better beach is the paid one in Honghai Bay called Zhalang Qiguan (16 or 20 per person, a place where locals go swimming, everyone knows), the sand is super soft, and the sea is very wide and boundless. Jintian Bay's sea is average but the sand is also very soft and suitable for walking in the waves, there are sea experience projects, we two played sea motorbikes (280 for two people for ten minutes, off-season you can play a little longer, you can find a guy called Feifei Ge, who is very good at driving sea motorbikes, safe and secure, a thrilling experience)
❤️ Suitable places for checking in and taking photos:
The sea castle on the coast of Honghai Bay, very photogenic
And the Sunset Road, the sunset glow is very beautiful! That road is all coffee shops and bars, very suitable for young people, great for checking in and taking photos, very beautiful and photogenic.
Half an hour from Shanwei City. In fact, the scenic spot is divided into three pieces, the Guanyin Temple on the left (Guanyin Pavilion, Castle Coffee), the Fort Park on the right, and the Red Bay in the middle (swimming). If you don't live in the tourist area, it is best to have a car. If you change, it takes three or four hours.
The water is clear and clean, and there are few people. Basically all locals. (Tourists are 16 yuan, locals are free with ID cards) The parking lot outside the scenic spot is 10 yuan for half a day. 20 capped a day. The surrounding area has not been fully developed, and there are fewer choices to eat. The scenic spot will catch tourists in Shanghai when it closes at 7 o'clock. Pay attention to the timing!
The beach is large. However, it is all projects developed by real estate companies, so there are many shortcomings, there is no place to wash your feet for free. There are also a few vending machines that are rusty and scattered in the weeds, and there are many goods inside that have not been emptied. The parking lot is also very messy. The roadside lights are not on.
The sea is very clear and the scenery is beautiful, making people linger.
A semi-closed bay in Shantou requires a fee to enter the beach area, but the ticket is only 10 yuan, which is quite grounded and there are many people swimming there. The strange scenery is that the sea in the east is quite big, one by one hitting the beach, and there is almost no wind and waves in the sea in the west. The sea level is very calm and people are swimming in the west. The weather was too hot, we didn't swim, so we went shopping for half an hour.
