Xishan Temple

Xishan Temple (Zhongshan) ―― The only oldest temple in Zhongshan Old Town, the second is estimated to be the Baiyi Ancient Temple after the refurbishment and expansion just visited in the morning. Although the temple is small, it is a cultural relics with more historical and ornamental value.

This temple originated from the Ming Dynasty and was rebuilt in 1988. All the way, the sun is shining; but just arrived at the temple, it rained lightly, and the rain was getting bigger and bigger. The sunrise on the east side and the rain on the west side, the road is ruthless but affectionate.

The center of Zhongshan City landmark is only about 200 meters away. The name is not good, because there is no mountain here, and it can even be said that it is not hilly enough, and it is more a small earthen bag. The monastery is built on the mountain, small and exquisite, if it is not the Daxiong Palace, I think it is the Guanyin Academy. The building was not antique, it was obviously rebuilt.

Park the car in the Memorial Hall, you can go to Zhongshan Museum, Radio Museum and Xishan Temple. If you have children, you can park in the garage near the artificial lake. There are old shops such as Shunde Ji.

Standing in front of the Xishan Temple, the first sight was the archway with Song Qingling's handwriting "Zhongshan Memorial Library". Originally, the old site of Zhongshan Memorial Library is on the hill opposite to Xishan Temple. In 1991, Zhongshan Memorial Library moved to "Zhongshan Library" on Xingzhong Road. The old site near Xishan Temple has now become the office of the Buddhist Association of Zhongshan City.

Xishan Temple is not far from Sun Wenxi Road. On a small mountain, the area is not small. The incense inside is very strong, and the way of offering Buddha statues is a little different. There are many ancient trees on the hill behind Xishan Temple. From a platform, you can see the golden top of Zhongshan Memorial Hall from afar.
