The Forbidden City is one of the world's most famous palaces and the first of the world's five major palaces. When I mentioned the Forbidden City, I first thought of the Forbidden City in Beijing, the palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. However, when the Qing Dynasty, there were actually two royal palaces. The first one was not in Beijing but in the northeast. Shenyang also has a Forbidden City. It was the Imperial Palace in the early Qing Dynasty. It is the same as the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is one of the two existing palace complexes in China. The palace was built in the ten years of the Golden Age (1625) and has a history of nearly 400 years. The Shenyang Imperial Palace is divided into three parts: East Road, Middle Road and West Road, which were built in different years. The East Road was first built, and the Dazheng Temple and the Ten Wang Pavilion built during the Nurhachi period were the places where the emperor held the "Great Ceremony" and the Eight Banners Minister. Soon after, the construction of the middle road was completed, including Daqingmen, Chongzheng Hall, Fenghuang Building and Qingning Palace. The construction of West Road was relatively late. It was built after the entry into the customs. At that time, the Shenyang Imperial Palace was no longer the palace. The West Road was completed in 1782. It was the place where the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty "Shengdu" Shengjing (Shenyang), reading and watching the opera and storing the "Siku Quanshu". Compared with the Forbidden City in Beijing, the size of the Shenyang Imperial Palace is much smaller, only 60,000 square meters, less than one tenth of the size of the Forbidden City in Beijing (the area of the Forbidden City in Beijing is 720,000 square meters).
