Known as "Chang'an Temple first, then Shenyang City", Shenyang Chang'an Temple, after thousands of years of wind and frost, has been restored several times, and it still stands in Shenyang City. Legend has it that when Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty went westward to the city of Shenyang, which was still a wasteland at the time, he found that there were many trees here, so he built a temple here. The general in charge of the construction, because of the sudden war, determined the location of the mountain gate with a finger, making the main hall far away from the mountain gate. During this process, the city of Shenyang was gradually built. It can be said that Chang'an Temple is the only "city in the temple". temple. For hundreds of years, Chang'an Temple has gone through vicissitudes of life. It has undergone numerous wars, and it has been severely damaged. By 1948, most of the buildings in the temple had been destroyed. In 1985, it was restored to its original appearance and turned into a tourist place. On March 1, 1997, Chang'an Temple was returned to the Buddhist community, and the abbot Master Zhaoyuan presided over the construction. Today's Chang'an Temple is bright with dazzling halls and solemn icons.
