The Pinnacles are located in the Nambung National Park at north of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia. The peculiar stone columns in the park form a unique spectacle in the desert. In the flat sand dunes, limestone-tipped stalagmites are scattered everywhere. When the Dutch explorer looked at the desert landscape of limestone columns from the ship, he thought he had discovered ancient city ruins. These spire rocky landscapes are a natural phenomenon of geological change.
