A piece of history
This is a huge ‘bath’ and is carved out of rock with stone steps down to it. As it has apparently been expanded for more modern water demand it is not clear what it used to look like.

May Shum Cistern was built by the Queen of Sheba in the first millennium BC. We stopped for few minutes to see the Bath of Queen of Sheba. The water level will be much higher during the rainy season.
