Siem Reap is a scenic spot that attracts the interest of travelers from around the globe. The World Heritage Site Angkor Wat is located to the north of the city. Angkor Wat is the generalized name for all of the ruins and archaeological sites related to the Angkor temple cluster. This was the capital of the ancient Khmer kingdom from the 9th to 15th centuries. The ancient temple ruins have long been claimed by the dense tropical rainforests. Take the day to visit Angkor Wat and then you can spend your evening back in the city having a glass of beer and enjoying the famous Pub Street.
_We***64The smallest, but amazing temple among other temples of Angkor Watt complex. Stone carvings are breathtaking. We included the visit of this temple with the trip to National Park. I recommend to go there early in the morning at 8 am, to have time to enjoy that beauty without crowds of tourists. they arrive there at around 8:30. No need to pay additional fee, your ticket for Angkor complex is active there. If you have one more day in Siem Reap - visit this place and you will not regret:)
201***18It has been very very old and can not be fixed up , people say it will disappear soon . I just can not believe my eyes , while I am always thinking who and how they made it happen in those old days , must be the God .
_We***71This is one of the most impressive of the astonishingly beautiful complex of temples that surround Siem Reap. It’s very close to Angkor Wat but very different. It’s also quite a small temple but full of atmosphere. I visited it twice as I purchased a (non particularly cheap) 3 days ticket and the second time it was almost the sunset and I found that it’s particularly beautiful in this kind of light. If you happen to visit Siem Reap don’t miss it, if you’re considering a trip there, this is one more reason to go. :)
KatnannyThe lake tour was fine, relaxing. It takes more than an hour to get there and the tour around the lake it's not that long, around 2 hours or 3. Watching the floating village and its people was amazing. The sunrise was not that special that day thou and the water is not green anymore, it's actually brown.
Here I am checking out the ancient temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I felt like Indiana Jones in the temple of doom climbing around on these thousand year old ruins. It was a fabulous place to snap some awesome photos. I had an awesome time, the weather was perfect. It was absolutely mind blowing that such beautiful structures were built so long ago. I love traveling and Trip.com makes it so easy to get the best deals that allow me to explore the world. If you ever come here be sure to get a local tour guide because they know all the great vantage points to get the best shots.
At the Ta Prohm temple. A small temple with a mix of trees emerging from the ruins and the surrounding jungle made it one of the most famous temples with visitors in Angkor. People would love to take a picture of the huge trees. And there are some trees that still have some bees on them. #mynovgetaway #thanksgiving
