My wife and I visited Siem Reap, as part of a 17day trip through Vietnam and Cambodia, where we were travelling with 10 other people. The tour was with G-Adventures and so the visit to Angkor Thom, An...
At the new capital of the Angkorian Empire in 12th century!
You are just about to cross one of the gates of "Angkor Thom", the capital city of the Angkorian Empire! Back in the 12th century, legendary King Jayavarman VII defeated the Cham invaders and decided ...
We hired a guide months before actually arriving in Siem Reap and WOW did it pay off. Plus it was a great price for just the 2 of us to be gone 10+ hours. Our Tour Guide Mr. Khemarin picked us up...
Tongwangcheng is also called the Great Angkor and Angkor City. It has been destroyed many times in the war and has been rebuilt several times. It is the heart of Angkor's monuments. At its peak, the population reached millions. Today, the remains of the ancient city of Bayon Temple, Bapong Temple, and the Palace of the Sky are the main attractions of the tour. The East Gate was once the location of the movie "Tomb Raider", and there is a "Victory Gate" on the north side of the East Gate that leads directly to the Royal Palace and is dedicated to the King and the Triumph Army.
it's one of best temple to see in Angkor Wat, I have never seen this kind of temples, so it was worth to visit and spend nice time
One of my favorite temples, but always very crowded in the mornings. Try to go late afternoon for fewer crowds. Admire the wall panels not just the faces. A good guide is a help. Easy to get to by car or tuk-tuk.
This is one of the most incredible places I have ever travelled to. We arranged a sunrise tour and arrived at the temple at 5:00am. The temple grounds are still in magnificent condition and the enormity of the temple itself is far greater than you’re expecting. You truly feel like you’ve gone back in time. Pure magic!
the experience is breathtaking and will you wonder how they built this temple out of hardship and love. thanks trip for helping me do the booking.
absolutely beautiful.. i strongly reccomend the 3 day pass and go to the farthest temples where there are less tourists and the most magical temples.
