What people are saying:

I like to see and experience what the locals do. This is a reservoir that provides water for most of Siem Reap, and it is also a place where many locals meet on weekends. There are a lot of things "made for tourists" in Cambodia, and this is a great way to just spend time with the locals and see how they have a good time. During the dry season, you can walk or ride a horse across the reservoir and see a temple located on a small island. Man-made reservoir, but really big. Khymer in Siem Reap uses this as their beach. It is about 10 kilometers from the city. It's really worth seeing. Many people swim here. Quite safe. There are boat rentals. Many local street foods here are cheap. It is very cheap to rent a bed here, and it must be rented. It will get very hot here, so the awning is very important. Most of here are Khymer families. Some small restaurants on lakes and rivers have returned to Siem Reap. It's really cheap. highly recommended.
