Quiet Escape
Quiet and not populated. Good parking and trails. Drive in and out can reveal grassland birds. Bring water. Can be warm in summer because there is not a lot of shade on the trails.
A very nice hike. Came too late to go inside but hiked the Nature Trail loop and went out on another trail to get a closer look at the border enforcement blimp.
History, hiking, and nature. A place that you can enjoy hiking with your dog.

Enjoyed our visit for birding, hiking and enjoying the history of the ranch. Huge toads in the pond as well as a king snake passing right in front of me near near the pond!
Very interesting and informative tour of the ranch history, from a volunteer, named Denise, was inlightening. She was well prepared and inspiring. Thanks Denise.
