Ion Sky provides an amazing and free space for enjoying the cityscape of Singapore. Located at the 56th level of Ion Orchard Shopping Mall, the space is also provides the knowledge about clouds to its visitor. There's also a resturant with the great view of Singpore's sky. One of my most favorite place on Orchard Road.

Why go to ION Sky? Because it's freeeee! (In an expensive city) + awesome views of Singapore. Just make sure to check the operating hours.
Quiet airconditioned space with seating, you will be rewarded with panoramic views of Singapore from ION Sky on the 55th floor of the ION shopping mall. It is accessible via an art gallery on the 4th floor. Ask the concierge, preferably the one situated just outside the mall-side MRT exit gates, for directions. Open between 3pm - 6pm with last entry at 5.30pm. There is a restaurant at the top as well but many go up for a quiet rest.
The ION Observation Deck offers a beautiful view of the city and nearby islands. If you want to enter this viewing platform, you have to shop here and buy a ticket for 20 Singapore dollars. The ion application does not support sharing tickets between families. If you spend more, they will give you five tickets. If you want a view, you can come here and have a try. However, there is another free top-level viewing area in Singapore. It is not the tallest building in Singapore, but it is about the 24th tallest. It has 55 floors and can be reached by elevator to the top floor. The Sky Observatory is located on the top floor. There is also a Salt Grill and bar on the top floor. However, it is the tallest building around Orchard Road. If you like a high view, the scenery here is still spectacular. There is a charge to enter, and then start your journey from the 4th floor of the ION shopping mall. If you like a high view, the view here is good.
Orchard Road is Singapore’s “Wangfujing” or “Nanjing Road”. We have no desire to purchase, so we only chose to visit the 55 and 56 viewing platforms of the ION shopping mall recommended by netizens. The exit of the subway station is at the basement of the ION shopping mall. After exiting the station, take the elevator to the fourth floor and transfer. After inquiring, I found the entrance elevator of ION Sky. Take the direct elevator to the highest open floor of the shopping center. This is a large bar and restaurant, but the public area is partially open to the public. There are quite a few tourists here, and of course it is a drop in the bucket compared to the tourists shopping on Orchard Road. Standing here, you can see the city of Singapore, there are many tall buildings, but this is not a cement forest city, large green vegetation surrounds the buildings, and there are many green spaces in the city. The most amazing thing is that many high-rise buildings in the city and many of the tops are planted with big trees in addition to flowers and grasses. Greening in Singapore is really all-round three-dimensional.
