Built across the mouth of the Marina Bay, the Marina Barrage helps to alleviate flooding in the surrounding low-lying areas of the city. It also prevents sea water from getting in to the fresh drinking water held in the reservoir. There are quite a few things to see here, including the Splash @ Marina and Force of Nature sculptures as well as the Pump House. 7th Storey Restaurant also accommodates visitors with fresh seafood.
