The Singapore Art Museum is a typical Nanyang-style building with a red roof on a white building that appears simple and fresh against the backdrop of palm trees. The museum houses and exhibits traditional and modern art from Singapore and Southeast Asia, as well as a number of short and permanent exhibition galleries. The museum often hosts exhibitions of emerging artists, as well as special exhibitions from China and European countries.
