Dal Lake Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Once in a life time in Dal lake
After we landed, we went straight to Dal Lake. It took almost an hour to get there from the airport because of the traffic.
We hired shikara to go around the lake. Our boatman was very very nice. He told shopping boats not to bother us because he noticed that we were not going to buy anything.
There were always many shopping boats coming for us. We had to say no to every single one of them so the view was less beautiful.
The floating restaurant in the lake was very good. The food tasted very nice and the price was very reasonable. The owner of the restaurant was friendly.
Duration: at least 2 hours
Cost: need to bargain

From Johannesburg, South Africa, to Kashmir, India, it was almost summer from summer to winter. Wendu changed from 25 degrees to 5 degrees. At the moment I came, I put all the thick clothes on my body.
Knit sweaters bought in South Africa, Nepalese hats, Indian Kashmiri scarves, earrings bought in Egypt, and long-sleeved clothes from the country.
The warmest is of course the Kashmiri scarf, which is soft and comfortable to touch, the color is versatile, and the color is more exciting. I take it up and see that every flower is hand-stitched and stitched, Kashmiri It's a coincidence! So delicate that it can pass through a ring, and the two-meter-long roll becomes a small group in his hand.
Wear the place where you traveled, like a living costume map, a different sense of accomplishment.
[Srinagar] Everything is imaginary. I saw rows of houseboats, boats in the vicinity, and once I went to the other side, I was only 10 rupees, and the price was very low. When I saw the snow mountain at the airport, I felt Suddenly a lot of comfort, plan to stay here for ten days, are considering whether to do a mobile phone card. The network here is separate and different from other parts of India, so the calling card in India is here without service, and the shipyard that has returned to live has a signal. It was drizzle, some cold, maybe it was sunburned in India for too long, but some were not used to it. The boating at night should be beautiful. The rows of lights reflected in the water, suddenly associated with a Nalan word, if life is like When I first saw it, what happened to the autumn wind was a sad picture. There are still some places still turbulent. From the airport to the place where I live, I saw a lot of policemen wearing guns on the road. In fact, I have some points that I cant tell whether its the army or the police. Im just seeing how our country is like. Safe and powerful, I have not found that the people here are not friendly to the Chinese. I just feel that there are very few tourists. I am a little worried about the life of a person here~

Pari Mahal Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
A hidden palace with foggy mountains 😍
This is Pari Mahal (palace) of Srinagar.
Pari Mahal or Palace of fairies is a seven terraced mughal garden.
It's located near Srinagar in Zabarwan mountains and has a beautiful backdrop of foggy mountains in winters.
Also like its located on a mountain, you can have bird eye view of the Srinagar city on a clear day.
I went in Autumn season and surrounding areas were filled with golden hues giving it so much beauty. So if you want to see Autumn colors, best time to visit this place is October to mid December.
Timings: Every day from 9:30am to 7:30pm
Minimal entry fees.

Pari Mahal Srinagar
#2024wish
Pari Mahal, meaning "Palace of Fairies," is a historic monument located on the Zabarwan mountain range overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Built during the Mughal era, it is a beautiful example of Islamic architecture and design.
Originally constructed as a residential college and observatory in the mid-17th century by Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Pari Mahal is known for its terraced gardens, elegant arches, and distinct Islamic-style domes. The structure once served as a place of learning and meditation for Sufi scholars and students.
Pari Mahal offers panoramic views of Srinagar city and the Dal Lake, making it a popular tourist destination. Visitors can explore the beautifully landscaped gardens, intricate water channels, and enjoy the serene ambiance of this historic site.
Today, Pari Mahal is not only a testament to Kashmir's rich cultural heritage but also serves as a symbol of architectural brilliance and religious tolerance during the Mughal period.
