This was the smallest aquarium/rain forest museum that I have visited in all my travels in Europe. Really not an aquarium, more like a display of the rain forest. Spent about an hour inside.
I've read some of the reviews about this place being small and dated. I have to say I found it enjoyable! It is definitely a must do with small children. It isn't very large, but it has some wonderful...
This sort of place was probably a wonderful experience in the 80s. A faux rainforest, small tanks with brightly coloured fish, a poison frog exhibition. Nowadays it doesn't realty cut it, especial...
We visited this place just to max out the stockholm pass (well worth buying!). The aquarium really is rather tiny, you walk through a faux rainforest which is quite amusing but still very obvious that...
Aquaria Vattenmuseum in Stockholm, Sweden offers a unique and fascinating look at aquatic life in a modern setting. The building boasts a gorgeous cascading waterfall at its entrance. Once inside, every area of the building is themed to immerse visitors in natural habitats. One example is the fun and educational jungle area, where visitors can see all kinds of indigenous creatures. Artificial rushing streams give visitors a first-hand glimpse of wild salmon thrusting their way upriver. The larger reef tanks offer a vast assortment of aquatic species of all shapes, sizes and colors, interacting with one another as they would in the open sea.
Step in and see The water life!A nice time to just walk around and look att fishes, sharkes and such.
Awesome experience, especially the rainforest, if you going alone better take the audio guide
Such a cool aquarium! Each room took on the natural environment of the fish, meaning that one room was hot and humid. It was however a little smaller than I expected. It's is sure to be a hit with the kids and marine life lovers!
Nice aquarium, which can be easily visited when visiting the Skansen open air museum or the Vasamuseum, as it's not too big.. Nevertheless, there're lots of different fishes and amphibians, so don't think it'll get boring.
If you're doing the tour, why not stop here; it's a perfect (very) little family aquarium, on the island of Djurgården, near the Vasa museum. You'll find most of what you would expect, including sharks and jellyfish, but also a mini tropical rain forest, complete with exotic birds and monkeys. There's also a gift shop and a coffee bar overlooking the water.
