Corregidor Island is a 45-minute boat ride from the harbor. It isn’t part of the usual island hopping schedule and would be something you organize as an additional location. I wouldn’t try and add it to the regular schedule as it can be quite a long day but I will show you what it’s like here in case you want to combine it with the tour and remove Naked Island for example.
When we arrived there were no other tourist boats around. We quickly made our way into the middle of the island and began our short trek through the village and up towards the summit of the island. Making our way through the muddy fields in the pouring rain was not how we had envisaged our island hopping to go but the fun is in the adventure.
Finally, we made it to the top of the hill after enduring knee-deep mud through the fields. The scenery atop Corregidor is pretty epic. Coconut palms stick out of long grass, which covers rolling hills. A few cute little coves hide underneath cliffside drop-offs.
I've visited Bucas Grande Island two times via Surigao City and Siargao Island. Last February 5, I visited Bucas Grande for the 3rd time via Hayanggabon port. It's only 45 minute pumpboat ride. The call of seeing the place once again is irresistible. The main attraction of the place are the Sohoton cove, non-sting jellyfish, several small caves and lakes, crystal clear water, beautiful corals, white sand beaches and lush vegetation on craggy islands. The beauty of the place is incomparable. It is pristine. Cinnamon Resort is a family and pocket friendly place to stay.
#holidayvacation Sunsets are instants of intimate and private contemplation. It's a time when we look at each other without mirrors. A sunset tells us what we are and where we should head to. It's a spiritual guide powered by Mother Nature and one that we should never neglect. #merryxmas
