Suwon Fortress in Autumn
#fallingforfall
Suwon Fortress is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located in Suwon, Korea. It is one of the most important historical sites of the country and is the only castle in the country whose walls remain intact. Transportation is very easy and it is 10 minutes from Suwon Station.
When you come here, you can walk around the city walls, ride a bike or visit the old watchtowers. In autumn, a magnificent view is seen with the color change and shedding of the leaves of the trees and I recommend you to observe this change here.

Suwon fortress lake night view in fall
#fallingforfall
Suwon fortress lake park is located in the city of suwon, South Korea. The distance to the station is 30 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by bus.
This is a beautiful place during the day and at night. Especially in autumn, you can do many nice activities such as watching the falling leaves, listening to the classical music playing around the lake and enjoying the view by having a picnic with your friends. Here, you can sit at the bottom of the lake or sit at the old korean building, one of the watchpoints of the castle, and watch the city.
You can rent specially prepared picnic baskets from the nearby markets. Afterwards, you can take a stroll on the walls of the castle accompanied by music.

Famous Haenggung Palace in Suwon
#fallingforfall
Hwaseong Haenggung Palace is located in Suwon City. How to
Get Here: Take the Line 1 subway line to get off at Suwon Station and then take bus 60 to get there in 15 minutes.
What's special about this place: It's the second palace after the main palace in Seoul. The king uses this palace in his travels or visits. That's why you can see old korean houses, king's place or many similar structures inside.
The wish tree is one of the reasons that makes this place special. After you write the message you want to come true on paper, you can hang it on the tree.
When to go: Autumn time is the best time to visit. You can see the red, yellow and other colors of the trees. In addition, this palace is surrounded by castle walls, you can take a walk in these walls. There are many places to eat and drink outside the palace.
This UNESCO world heritage site is about an hour and a half south of Seoul. I did this on my own. You can take the metro to Suwon station and then take a bus. Check with the tourist information office at Suwon station for details of the bus if you are confused. You need atleast half a day to do justice to this attraction. Entry ticket to the palace is 1,500 Korean won. There is a lot of walking and steep climbs, so be prepared. Don't miss the delicious dumplings sold in tiny restaurants in Suwon. On the way back I entered the food hall at Suwon station, a haven for yummy Korean food.

Suwon Palace
#koreatrip cultural tour in Suwon. This palace is super huge that I couldn't find my friend when we were here together. Unlike other palaces, here I can find more information on how it's like during old dynasty days. There is simulation with information board. Aside from that, you can also find miniatures of this place. I spent hours over here despite of super cold weather (-4° celcius with super strong wind, my hot americano turn into ice americano within few minutes!)
Address: 825 Jeongjo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
To get here you can either take train to Suwon and bus or just take train and walk.

Wolhwawon Garden Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
#suwon
Amazing place to be during free time.

Wolhwawon Garden is cultural heritage
It's a style of structure and architecture that can be seen in many Chinese dramas! Wolhwawon is a traditional garden in the Yeongnam region from the end of the Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty in China, and was created by combining folk form and modern technology. I suddenly thought, "Why is it a Chinese garden?" It's because in 2003, Gyeonggi Province and Guangdong Province signed an agreement on the development of friendship and exchange and promised to build a traditional garden in the other city. It's winter, except for bamboo and a few trees, but it was refreshing because the building itself gave off a colorful pattern and exotic atmosphere. When I went there, I liked the quiet feeling, but in winter, I thought it would be even better if it snows.
In 2024, I wish to visit this beautiful place again.

Wolhwawon Garden is cultural heritage
When the weather was nice, I went out to play with my friends and watched outdoor concert performances. ><< It's a quiet and friendly park as always even if it's been a long time. But parking. "There's a street parking lot between Hyowon Park and Na Hye-seok Street. It was full." Or I crossed the street and parked at the Gyeonggi Art Center because there was a parking space toward the outdoor concert hall. It was convenient because there was an outdoor area and most of them were on the first basement floor, but there is a parking fee.
In 2024, I wish to visit this beautiful place again.

Suwon fairytale like Wolhwawon Garden
#wecreate
This very unique garden is located in the center of Suwon city, which can be accessed from Seoul by metro in ~1 hour. Even though its not that close to main tourist attractions (~15 min. by bus), its worth to pay a visit! This calm garden is like an oasis where you can sit and enjoy your book or just simply have a rest from busy Seoul.
P.S. 3rd photo is a cute sleeping duck ;)
Cheongjeong Susan Gongwon Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
🐳🇰🇷 Whale Cafe Susan Park 수산공원
Annyeonghaseyo K drama fans!
I am showcasing this lovely whale cafe which you have to visit. Just a heads up if you are coming here, they only accept card payment here so your korean won is unacceptable here.
I also want to tell you there is no fixed route on getting here. I use their local navigation app NAVER to get real time updates and plan my route from Seoul.
This is really useful in the event of limited bus timings too. This is so true for the public buses at Susan Park cafe because it is not frequent. So you can estimate and plan your time here before catching the next bus back to Gurae station.
This cafe is so pretty and I hope to revisit the next time when I go back to Seoul.
Have a seoul-prise in South Korea.

🇰🇷 Visit the rooftop at this cafe
You have to come here, take the stairs and come up all the way up here! Free admission and you can get awesome views of the whole town. This building is right beside Susan Park and you can view a large 3D painting when you are standing at the highest point. The stairs will end half way into the skies. It may look dangerous but it is not. I feel the view is nicer and clear when you come in the day. Bring your power bank with you and wear your favourite outfit. Have a great day out!

Haneul Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Seoul 2022
My recent trip to South Korea for autumn experience. This is my first solo travel since the border was open. i went to Ewha women university, which is a private women's university in Seoul founded in 1886 by Mary F. Scranton under Emperor Gojong.
i also visited Haneul park also known as Sky park, where i can enjoy the view of the Han river (Hangang).

Seoul Silver Grass Festival
#fallingforfall #scenicspot
Held annually (was on halt in 2020 & 2021 due to COVID-19) around the month of October at Haneul Park (also known as Sky Park), the 21st Seoul Silver Grass Festival is held from 15 to 21 Oct during the fall season.
It's a super big park with lots of "entrance and exit points" into the Pampas Grass fields. One can go into any entrance and can have their private spot for photography/video for posting on social media! Great IG/TikTok worthy location.
However, the Pink Muhly Grass field is way a lot smaller near the entrance of the park. It's such a pity as it's a lot more difficult to take a nice shot due to the number of people coming for the festival.
To come up to the Haneul Park, you can either take the stairs (291 steps), or take a shuttle bus up.
