The beauty of Suzhou is found in all the gardens, mountains and rivers within the city, as well as in the rich variety of ancient cultural charm and artistic atmosphere. From the numerous ancient waterside villages on the periphery of Suzhou to the Humble Administrator’s Garden, a World Heritage Site, and the Suzhou Museum, the exquisite delights of Suzhou are endless. Suzhou is located on a network of waterways and the city streets are built to follow the rivers, producing the unique style of “little bridges, flowing water and households.” The Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Ji’s poem, "Night Mooring at Maple Bridge", has caused tourists from ancient and modern times to flock to Maple Bridge and hear the bells of Hanshan Temple. The mountains of Lingyan, Taiping, Tianchi and Dongting are scattered along the banks of Lake Tai outside of Gusu District and showcase the majesty of nature.
E34***63What a wonderful place to visit! It cost 70rmb entry but Tiger Hill is a large area to walk around including seeing the temple itself, so it's worth the cost. Signs were also in English which made everything even more convenient. A great family outing.
Ash Pashthis place is amazing, like something out of a fairytale! you can get to it fairly easily from Suzhou, just take line 4 to the tongli station, then you can take a coach or a taxi. I would recommend both a rickshaw ride and a boat ride. there is also a little cafe near the three bridges scenic spot where you can get a coffee or glass of wine and watch the boats go by.
Kara TaiIt’s a beautiful garden with interesting rock formations, however I wouldn’t recommend going on the weekend. It’s overly crowded. You can walk the whole thing in about an hour. make sure you bring your passport for the tickets.
Serene and a great escape if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We really enjoyed this resort. A great getaway to relax and enjoy the simpler things in life❤️
