Visiting Changshu, Shanghu Scenic Area is a must-see. This place, with its clear mountains and beautiful waters, is truly healing. Ten miles of green mountains are half-enclosed by the city, and ten thousand acres of blue waves surge at the west gate. Only those who have been there can truly appreciate the poetic charm of this line. It is recommended to enter from Gate 1, which serves as the main entrance. The tourist center, shuttle buses, and tour boats are all concentrated at Gate 1. Right at the entrance is Taigong Island, where it is said that Jiang Taigong once lived in seclusion fishing. Take the kids to visit the Taigong Cultural Exhibition Hall, and then make a wish at the Blessing Platform. Shanghu is vast and divided into different areas. 🌈 March and April are the flower viewing seasons. The plum blossoms are in full bloom these two weeks, and Mei Wu Bridge is the best viewing spot, where the plum blossoms are most concentrated. 🌈 If you go two weeks later, you should be able to see the peonies. The peony blooming period is from 3.25 to 5.5. It is recommended to visit during off-peak times on weekdays to avoid the crowds. 🌈 The bamboo rafts in the Water Forest have always been the most popular attraction here. Boating on the lake, passing through the Shan Chi forest, watching egrets fly together, the colors of spring are all reflected in the water, a very special experience. ❗️For those with children or who do not want to walk too much, it is recommended to take the shuttle bus. First go to the Water Forest, then slowly stroll back in reverse. On the first day, I headed straight to Yu Mountain and Xingfu Zen Temple~ Xingfu Zen Temple is located at the foot of Yu Mountain, very close to the Yu Mountain cable car station, and opens early. As soon as I arrived in Changshu, I went to burn incense and pray for blessings. 'The winding path leads to a secluded spot, where the Zen rooms are deep in flowers and trees', this poem describes Xingfu Zen Temple perfectly. There is a Wangyue Tower noodle shop at the entrance of the temple, which is famous. I tried the big meat noodles and mushroom oil noodles, and I feel that the big meat noodles are better, flavorful and soft! Most of the attractions in Changshu open at 8 or 8:30 in the morning and close at 4 or 4:30 in the afternoon. It is recommended to check and confirm before traveling. The cable car ride takes about 20 minutes one way, and it's quite hot on a sunny day. Fortunately, I brought a fan. The station is the Yu Mountain Sword Gate Scenic Area!
