The Sydney Opera House, located in the northern part of Sydney, is a landmark building in Sydney, designed by the Danish architect Jorn Utzon. Underneath a scalloped roof is a water complex that combines theatre and hall. The interior structure of the Opera House is modeled after the Mayan culture and the Aztec temple. The building began construction in March 1959 and was officially completed and delivered on October 20, 1973. It took 14 years. The Sydney Opera House is Australia's landmark and one of the most distinctive buildings of the 20th century. In 2007, it was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the morning, you can avoid the crowds of tourists, first take a look at the quiet Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Visitors can walk around the Opera House and take a close look at this uniquely iconic landmark; and also take in the panoramic view of the Sydney Opera House from a height on the Harbour Bridge not far away. On the way from the Opera House to the Harbour Bridge, you will pass the famous Circular Quay. Sometimes visitors can see the yachts that are parked here. ticket ordinary ticket
