Tallinn’s Quaint Old Town!
Attraction name: The Old Town of Tallin
Location: Tallin, Estonia
Tallin is located only two hours by boat from Helsinki or three hours bus drive from Riga. It is one of the most underrated cities in Europe and one of the cheapest.
The old town of Tallin is superb. There are cobbled streets, authentic restaurants, cathedrals to climb and artwork on the walls.
I loved going to the top of one of the cathedrals to enjoy a birdseye view of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

Lesser-known fairy tale country Estonia | Tallinn Tallinn Guide
🌟Time: Early December, I feel it's just right to go at this time, you can appreciate the fairy tale world of snow scenery❄️, and it won't be too cold. And there are many festivals🎄 at this time, if you are lucky, you can also encounter outdoor performance activities🙌🙌
⚠️But now it gets dark earlier, basically after three and a half in the afternoon it gets dark, but it won't be very dark after dark, and it's really super safe here!!👍(Envious of the area🥹)
🌟Transportation: Taxi🚖Bolt, very convenient and affordable.
Bus🚌 fare 2 euros, you can directly swipe your bank card on the bus.
🌟Route:
The first route: You can stroll around the old town first, then slowly climb up the slope to a very representative check-in point📷, the viewing platform (Kohtuotsa viewing platform Kohtuotsa vaateplats) can overlook the panorama and the coastline🌄.
The second route is: You can take a car🚘 to the Estonian Art Museum (KUMU Kunstimuuseum) to get off, you can visit the museum, then walk down a staircase (Katariina trepp), this is also a tourist attraction🏞️, then continue to walk forward to the Kadriorg Art Museum (Kadrioru kunstimuuseum), Baroque palace and art gallery✅. Finally, after a long walk, you can see a monument🪦 (Russalka), you have reached the seaside🏝️, the scenery is super beautiful👍👍
🌟Recommend a very good restaurant🍴, the environment is also very characteristic➡️
Name: Beer House
Address: Dunkri 5, 10123 Tallinn, Estonia
The pork knuckle (Beer House Fest) of this shop is very good, very delicious!!🍖👍
And the home-brewed beer🍻 here is really the best I have ever drunk! There is honey-flavored beer (Medover Honey), which is very good to drink, and it tastes a bit sweet.
And there will be live music performances💃🕺 from 20:00-22:45, the atmosphere is super!
🌟Flow: I use a domestic phone card and bought a data package.
You can also buy a phone card directly at the airport.
🌟Payment: You can swipe your card everywhere here, it's super convenient.
Old Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Prague
Prague is a bustling city, and walking around I found many statues and buildings reminiscent of the Soviet era, which is not something I saw in western Europe. In Prague’s Old Town, I stood amongst the crowds waiting for the world’s oldest astronomical clock to ring in the hour. I joined a walking tour that took us to the main sites and Prague Castle (definitely recommend). And lastly, Prague is famous for its nightlife, so don’t miss a chance to see the city at night. It’s even more beautiful lit up after dark.

Having visited football stadiums in Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and London it was great to compare Sparta Prague. The tour costs just £3 and you get to see behind the scenes and Interesting insight into Czech football and Sparta Prague history . Lots of nostalgia, trophies and donated football kits. I can have access to many areas I don't normally get in other stadiums. And I am given the freedom to roam around the different rooms as you choose. What I'd like to see is more information and detail about the Czech football history
This stadium tour is highly recommended for any football fans
Located near the old town

Beautiful Old Towns in Europe 🏰
#cherryblossom2024
Tallinn, Estonia 🇪🇪
Step back in time as you enter the well-preserved Old Town of Tallinn, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll along the cobblestone streets lined with colorful medieval houses, and the impressive walls and towers take you back to a bygone era of knights and merchants.
Edinburgh, Scotland 🏴
Step into Edinburgh's Old Town and enter a world of medieval charm, with the iconic Edinburgh Castle guarding the Royal Mile. Stroll through narrow cobblestone lanes, explore secluded courtyards, welcoming bars and ancient buildings, and listen to the whispers of bygone centuries.
Ghent, Belgium 🇧🇪
Explore the charming city of Ghent, where picturesque canals wind through a tapestry of medieval architecture. Marvel at the majesty of Gravenstein Castle and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Ghent's historic centre, where past and present are harmoniously intertwined.
Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿
Immerse yourself in the fairytale atmosphere of Prague's Old Town Square, where colorful baroque buildings and astronomical clocks create an enchanting scene. Cross the iconic Charles Bridge, decorated with statues of saints, and ascend to the majestic Prague Castle, overlooking the city's red-tiled roofs.
A Czech fairy tale dream walks into the reality of a dreamy town
A Czech fairy tale dream walks into the reality of a dreamy town. This town, located in the heart of Southern Bohemia, is one of the most picturesque towns in Europe.
The Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural styles make you feel as if you're in a fairy tale.
This ancient town is like a miniature version of Prague,
but it has more of a tranquil and dreamy atmosphere with its colorful palette.
Cesky Krumlov, also known as 'CK' town,
is small enough that you can walk from one end of the city to the other in 20 minutes, and a whole day is enough to wander around at leisure.
The old town has lively restaurants and bars.
When the weather is good, the riverside is filled with people basking in the sun. I guess the four seasons here must be beautiful in their own right, just as described in Lonely Planet: in summer, it's a hot spot for backpackers; in winter, when the crowds disperse and the castle is covered with snow, it could be a dreamy place.
Krumlov Castle,
the medieval castle perched above the Vltava River, was founded in the 13th century and is the iconic building of CK town. The castle tower
is the town's high point, and from the top of the tower, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the small town, with the meandering Vltava River and the medieval red-tiled roofs in full view. Jost Church,
with its Baroque spire, reflects the entire town, and at the entrance, there is a statue of Saint Mary.
Baroque Theatre,
the only Baroque theatre in Europe preserved in its original form. Various museums:
Photography Museum, Torture Museum, Regional Museum.
KrČma v Šatlavské, the famous cave restaurant, a cellar restaurant transformed from an old prison,
is a destination many tourists will visit. The Central European famous roasted pork knuckle,
compared to the century-old shops in Munich, is somewhat satisfactory, with service that is not very enthusiastic, and the draft beer and onion soup are not outstanding. Any old shop in Prague would be more worth looking forward to.
The old town has many interesting small shops.
Strolling until dusk, the castle is enveloped in golden sunset, and the town in fairy tales is probably just like this.
Transportation:
From Prague's Na Knizeci station to CK town's Spicak/AN station,
take the Student Agency bus for a 3h journey.
Train: Two morning trains from Prague's main station to CK town, a 3.5h journey. The train station is a 30min walk from the old town.
