Tallinn Town Hall

The interior of Tallinn City Hall is as simple as its exterior. Two of the halls are worth seeing. The Civic Hall was the place where medieval banquets and city laws were held, and is still used for receptions and concerts today. The walls of the hall were painted and very bright. There were not many decorations in the hall, most notably the knitted tapestries hanging on the walls that depicted the life of King Solomon. A closer look at these tapestries reveals that the characters are dressed in a noble, elegant way, and the whole picture is very harmonious and charming, much like the international gothic style popular in the late Middle Ages. The hall is where the city council gathers to discuss local laws and regulations, and there are many of the oldest decorations in the area. However, the doors of the hall are made by the Tallinn grand piano factory, black, painted and resembled a piano cover. The hall also contains a 15th-century wooden bench covered with a velvet tweed, and the bench is decorated with exquisite hollow carvings, which are the oldest wood carving artwork in Estonia. Overall, the interior of Tallinn City Hall is far less cool and charming than that of other major European city halls, but as the only remaining Gothic City Hall in several Nordic countries, it is a window into the medieval art of Tallinn.

Built in the early 14th century, it is a Gothic building. Thomas, the symbol of Tallinn City, has stood on the roof of the City Hall since 1530. Climbing up the tower overlooks the whole city.

Although the old city of Tallinn is small, it is particularly attractive. The main attractions are located in two regions. One is near the City Hall Square, also known as the downtown area. There are the tallest St. Olaf Cathedral in Tallinn, the three sisters'houses and the old pharmacy. Another area is the Chapel Hill Castle area, also known as Upper Town, with Nicholas Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Notre Dame of Tallinn Cathedral and so on. In addition to these buildings, the old city of Tallinn has a 2 km long wall, which is well preserved.

The town hall square in the heart of the old town is the only gothic town hall in the Baltic states built in the early 14th century and the second floor of the town hall is still the main floor of the building. The Civic Hall Council Hall, the attached kitchen and the Judge Hall are located on that floor. The reception and concerts of the celebrations are the same as those of the medieval celebrations. The Sandian Basin Hall is now open as a showroom for free to citizens and visitors. In the summer of 2004, Estonian City Hall celebrated the 600th anniversary of his birth. The Asian Post Office also specially issued a commemorative stamp to commemorate the 600th anniversary of Tallinn City Hall

The old town of Tallinn is just like a cultural heritage, and once you enter your mind, you get a lot of thought.

Tallinn City Hall Square is located in the old city of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Every year, the symbolic Christmas tree shines in the center of the square. There are many small market stalls selling local snacks and souvenirs on the square.
