What travelers say:
Surroundings and restaurant are very well decorated, chatty and friendly lady boss, location is good for a peaceful, relaxed meal. Generally pricey food, some of which are not reasonable. Overall, the Nyonya cuisine is good. Oyster shooters are tasty. Had one of the seasonal Western set meals during Christmas dinner, which had chicken with passion fruit sauce as the main course, and that was really tasty. However, some other food items are not value for money at all. Once we ordered some braised pork dish and there was hardly any meat, only fat and bones. Another is the 'King Prawn' Seafood Aglio Olio which only had four medium-sized prawns in it when I ordered, and was a very unsatisfying experience for its expensive price. I had asked beforehand what comes with it and was told there would be assorted seafood in it. The service staff gave me this excuse: "Oh, it's during Chinese New Year; the supplier for the mussels has not delivered the other stuff; normally we would only give two prawns but we gave you two extra." Who pays over 35 bucks for a dish serving a mere two "King" prawns?
