🤩🤩 I love this ancient town that made it to National Geographic more than Lijiang and Dali! Tengchong, it's simply made for laying flat😴😴 It's unbelievably beautiful! HeShun Library is the cultural benchmark of the ancient town, with a style of architecture from the Republic of China era. Two ancient plum trees lean across, ethereal and beautiful. It is said that the library used to order books and newspapers through fellow townspeople living in Burma, transported by waterway from Shanghai to Yangon, and then transferred to HeShun. The arrival time was twice as fast as domestic postal services, so the library surprisingly became the most informed news and cultural center at the time. Inside the library, there are plaques from famous people like Hu Shi, and it is said to even house a set of the original 'Complete Library in Four Sections'. For a rural library, this is quite impressive.

The Double Rainbow Bridge in Heshun is less than a point away from the Cun Clan Ancestral Hall. Two symmetrical arch bridges lie on the river surface, like a double rainbow lying on the waves, hence the name. The Double Rainbow Bridge has a history of more than 500 years. It is said to have been built by the ancestors of the Cun family, a prominent family in Heshun. Across the bridge are the Heshun Library and Wenchang Palace, which should now be considered one of the core areas for sightseeing. At the other end of the bridge, there is a memorial archway on each side, not small in size and exquisitely carved. In the middle are the lotus pond and the lake pavilion, and a little further away, there is the popular paddy field cultural tourism area, which is particularly outstanding for social media sharing. When I arrived, it was sunset, and the afterglow of the setting sun made the Double Rainbow Bridge exceptionally beautiful.
