Hatyai City Municipal Park

#wecreate Hatyai City Municipal park is a free of charge attraction in Hatyai, Thailand, and it is definitely worth a visit to this lovely place. The park is not crowded or packed at all and I love it this way as it is quieter and I get to enjoy every part of the attraction better. You will be greeted by a large golden Buddha statue at the park, along with other statues such as guan yin ma, etc and these are such beautifully done sculptures. There's also a nice temple inside for worshippers to offer prayers and the views from it are superb. You can even go for a cable car ride to see the whole area with nice sceneries. Come here for a stroll, or cycle at the nearby cycling paths, or soak in the peaceful atmosphere, whichever it is, Hatyai City Municipal park is a wonderful place. Highly recommend it.

One of the main tourist attraction is this giant golden Buddha located in the northern parts of the city. located in municipal park, this massive Buddha is a view not to miss. not only is it an impressive piece of architecture, the area is on top of a mountain. From the top you can appreciate the wonderful cityscape and the songkla lake which is visible from this mountain. As well as that, there are various Hindu temple to explore nearby the Buddha. if taking the cable car is not your thing, one can easily hike to the top, within 1 hour. The cable car is 400 thai baht for foreigners and 200 for locals. deffo worthwhile!

High up in the mountains of Hatyai in Thailand, this beautiful park gives you a view of the entire city. There are so many beautiful temples within this park and the sunset view from up there is truly beautiful. perfect place to escape and just enjoy nature.

Hatyai park sunny days are soothing.

As the cable car was not in operation and none of the locals could tell us where to get a bus or car up to the top of hill, and there was no rental bicycles available despite the cycle lanes, we decided to walk up. The slopes were pretty steep at some parts. After 20mins, we reached a temple with the Four Face Buddha although the road sign showed “Brahma Statue”. We saw the cable car mid-point station and saw a sign that it is not in operation. Asked a local how to get to the top and was told that it’s about 2km away. We pressed on as we saw local Uncles and Aunties hiking too. There were water coolers along the way to quench our thirst. We spotted the golden standing Buddha another 20mins later, and took in the view of Hatyai city around us. After paying respects and walking around, we saw a green and yellow cute-looking mini-bus and realised that it was a shuttle service. We hopped on and stopped at Guan Yim Temple before heading down to the carpark near gate 1. If only we found someone who could tell us about the shuttle bus. beta place to go if you’re craving cheap, delicious authentic Thai food! the people here are amazing, helpful and i must say quite adventurous! we started our journey on a Wednesday hoping it may be less hectic and crowded, but boyyy we were not anticipating huge crowds and popular diner places! but the service was swift, workers were helpful and understood our preferences well! will come again!#hatyai
