What people are saying:

The black sand beach is not the first time I have seen it, but the Punaluu black sand beach I think is the most beautiful I have seen, and the sand is really fine and soft, which makes us feel amazing and wonder why the sand is Black

Additional Information

Introduction

Punaulu Black Sand Beach is located on the east side of the Big Island, adjacent to the scenic town of Vic, accompanied by organaceous rock cliffs. The hot volcanic lava flows into the cold sea water. After the pushing and impact of the waves, the magnesium and iron minerals in the lava are broken and deposited, forming a unique black sand beach. It is also home to rare animals and green turtles.
