This richly historical district in Ouro Preto, Brazil is home to some of the city's most vibrant cultural attractions. The birthplace of the Inconfidencia Mineira, an independence movement of the 1790s, and named after its founder, Tiradentes Plaza features the Museu da Inconfidencia, dedicated to the memory of the revolt, and the Museu de Ciencia e Technica, noted for its collection of beautiful minerals from the local mines. You can attend shows or simply enjoy the atmosphere in one of the neighborhood's theaters or cafes, or bring the ritz in one of the ballroom dancing venues.

Dating back to the 19th century, the Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil is situated in the heart of Downtown Rio De Janeiro. What at one time was a bank was eventually turned into a cultural center, and there, visitors can take a tour of the center at no cost. Exhibits in the exhibit rooms change commonly, with the exception of a collection of Brazilian coins that are always being shown. Also on the premises, the cultural center has a library, cinema, video room and three theaters all devoted to anything from photography to other experimental films.
