Fort York National Historic Site

York, formerly Toronto. Fort York was built in 1793 to protect against American threats. It was a British colony at the time, so it was built by the former acting governor of England. A long, large area, free access to outdoor parts, indoor exhibits and explanations.

I went to York Castle in Toronto and learned about the history of the Anglo-American War. It was a great place to learn about history and some different from the history of major cities. The cannons displayed in the castle were cool and the other views were good.
