The Great Ocean Road, I personally think it is the most worthy road in Australia. All kinds of different scenery, beautiful coastline, and good road conditions make this a paradise for travel. This is a self-driving route not to be missed, you must see it once!
The spectacular scenery of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road is unforgettable. The jagged coastline is packed with dramatic bays, coves and rocky islands. The region reminded me of Cornwall and north Devon, but on a much grander scale. The best way to get about is undoubtedly by car, but there’s also a really handy bus that stops at all the sights.
Had the most unforgettable road trip on GOR ever! beautiful place, endless scenery, though the sky was a little dark and gloomy, nothing beats being away from the city :) seriously amazing with a sky full of stars at night, beautiful sunrise (didn't get to see the sunset because it was too cloudy that night) and I even got to see a wild kangaroo hopping on the road!
If you want to escape Melbourne for a day or two, the drive up the Great Ocean Road from the city’s centre cannot be beaten. You will witness sweeping cliffs and breathtaking views over the sparkling blue ocean that looks like it stretches across the horizon forever. At certain points you can stop off on the journey and spot koala bears up in the trees. It’s a rare feat to see these animals in the wild, and the Great Ocean Road is a beautiful place to do it. Another highlight is the Twelve Apostles – giant rocks that jut out of the ocean creating an unforgettable landscape.
We travelleded this place by bus and can enoy the beautiful views along Great Ocean Road. Surf Beach, can see people beach walk. Historic Memorial Arch, seadide tiwns, Kennett River, rainforest, Twelve Apistles, loch Ard Gorge.
