Stunning views
This place just keeps getting better each time I visit. The paths are accessible to all and the views are absolutely stunning. Very well kept paths and gardens.
Spectacular views, gardens not so much
I walked up to the gardens from Stresa (2h45 mins) via the VL1 hiking route. The gardens were nothing special, mostly rockeries with wild flowers, plus some grassy areas. Perhaps because it is so hot ...

the view is absolutely spectacular and worth the trip. the rest ....so and so . but a nice stroll among plants and with breathtaking lake views

You could look at those views all day. In October we had the place to ourselves and felt really blessed
Favorite of my wife
My wife walks from our hotel every morning. She absolutely loves “the Tree” and the view of the lake. Sadly the bird house was missing this year.
