Mosque
Address: Rue Jamaâ Ezzitouna, Tunis, Tunisia

What people are saying:

The great mosque of Tunis. A pleasant escape from the chaos of the medina. The mosque is attractive and is a nice anchor as you explore. You can only visit the courtyard but it is lovely.

    Okay

It looks an ordinary mosque to me. Probably there are many great stories about it but my rating only goes to the architectural design.

Additional Information

Introduction

The Grand Mosque of Zatuna is found in the heart of the old city of Medina in Tunis. "Tuna" is the meaning of the Arabic word. The mosque was constructed in 732 AD. There are numerous stone pillars in the hall of the chanting. These pillars were brought after being demolished from the Yingtaiji site. Among the Islamic cities in North Africa, the old city of Tunisia is one of the examples of city architectural planning. The Old Town is made around the center of the Zatuna Mosque.
