Utrecht with ease and comfort
#utrecht #netherlands #amsterdam
📍Location: As a small town/city close to Amsterdam, you may take a train from central Amsterdam to Utrecht, costing you just around 3 euro(single trip) and half an hour. Trains are scheduled around every 15 minutes.
🏙️ About the city: the city is quite small though, it might only take you a day/or less than a day to all the tourist places. Right at the Utrecht central station, there is a big shopping mall, where you can buy food and walking around. The statues and Utrecht university are also around the centrum station, and you might just get there on foot.
🕙time: one of the weird thing is that I arrived the city on Monday around 10, I walk around until midday, and surprisingly, there is only a few people on the street, so are those opening stores. So quite and not as crowded as I have thought.
Utrecht❤️
A very simple and pleasant 😇little city!
This city offers a legendary environment where you can eat delicious 🤤 meals around the canal, spend a pleasant time and take a walk!
Hotels are more affordable than other Dutch 🇳🇱cities!

Utrecht - The Netherlands
We were not very sure if it was going to be worth to stop as we show different cities but we gave it a chance. It is definetely a must. It is a bit small, so you can spend like a day, exploring Utrecht but it has its highlights. Its canals are beautiful. If you go in spring you can enjoy a drink by the canal. Do NOT forget mosquito spray, as you will be their favourite meal. In winter it is very humid so I recommend you to visit it in Spring or Summer. Summer won’t be all the students so you can enjoy a relax time and if you are lucky a live band outside.
Utrecht town
Utrecht is really pretty and offers a good combination of new and old, very much like a modernised town! You will find that you are spoilt for choices in the shopping district and when it comes to food, there are even more choices from Korean to Vietnamese and even Italian cuisine.
The streets in town are very picturesque and I really like looking at the canals and architecture as I roam the streets. As it is fast approaching December, you will find that the Christmas decors are out and they will light up at night✨ which makes for a really pretty sight!
There are also many who likes to dine by the canals and enjoy the nice weather and chill vibes:)

Visit the Largest & Luxurious Castle in NL
#springblossom #vianasjourney
Discover the largest and luxurious castle in The Netherland by visiting this De Haar Castle. It has an interesting history from the first owner of the house until in the 2000, the current owner van Zuylen van Nyevelt family passed ownership to the Foundation Castle De Haar. In the castle you can see how luxurious the lifestyle of the owner where they have many items (for example cutlery) especially made and used only by the family. Do check out their family history for more informations. Here’s my extra infos and tips, the castle has it locker before exploring further, so if you have big bags, wise to put it there. Staff didn’t allowed big bags, and even if you bring sling bag, the staff insisted I some how wrap it around my stomach. It has small and steep stairs, so careful. Even if you wanna look pretty wearing heels for pictures, do bring extra pair of comfortable footwear. Take note that no flash photography allowed.

The largest and most beautiful castle in the Netherlands, the Neo-Gothic De Haar Castle.
Kasteel De Haar is located in the small town of Haarzuilens near Utrecht in the Netherlands. The medieval-style castle, also known as the "Red Town", is a typical neo-Gothic building with a hint of classical solemnity. There are many antiques and precious artworks inside the castle, and the passages are complex, so visitors must follow the guided tour to enter. It has a palace-style garden and moat, making it an ideal place for wedding photos and popular among many young Dutch men and women. ❤️❤️❤️

St Martin's Cathedral Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
My favourite city in Netherlands Utrecht
Utrecht has to be my favourite city in all of the Netherlands. It’s just a half-hour train ride south of Amsterdam. It is a small city but it’s an attractive city with a modern, lively vibe.
Things to do :
1.Try kayaking at the Utrecht Canals, which is pretty cheap as well (25-35€)
2. Wander Utrecht’s Historic City Centre along the Oudegracht Old canal.
3. Visit the The Dom Church (St Martin’s Cathedral)
4. Climb the Dom Tower ( 13€)
5. Visit the cathedral museum
You will fall in love with this city 💙 #netherland #historicallandmarks
The rich medieval city of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
Utrecht is the fourth largest city in the Netherlands and one of the oldest, with a strong medieval atmosphere. I suggest staying in Utrecht for at least 2-3 days. My main itinerary is as follows:
1. City Center: The most representative attraction here is the Dome Church, which is magnificent and has the tallest church tower in Europe. It is surrounded by beautiful canals, with restaurants and shops on both sides.
2. National Museum Area: There are multiple museums, especially the Railway Museum and the Central Museum, with many cultural relics exhibitions inside, worth a visit.
3. Castle Gardens: Here is the largest park in Utrecht, a great place for strolling and relaxing, and there is also a small maze for people to explore.
4. Canal Cruise: Cruising along the canal is the best way to experience the charm of Utrecht. The 40-minute tour allows you to enjoy the scenery of the water town.
🚄Transportation guide: Take a train from Amsterdam Central Station for 30 minutes to reach Utrecht Central Station, with a one-way ticket costing about 10 euros. Walking and cycling are the main modes of transportation in the city, but taxis and buses are also available.
🏩 Regarding accommodation, the average price for hotels within the Utrecht city center is 100-200 euros per night. Cheaper options include homestays or hostels, which cost around 60-120 euros per night.
🍽 In terms of dining, various authentic Dutch dishes, Italian dishes, and cafes, etc., cost about 20-30 euros per meal.
⚠️ Other notes: The weather in the Netherlands can change greatly, so bring rain gear and warm clothing. Dress appropriately when visiting churches and photography is prohibited. Most museums close before 5:00 pm, so visit early. Pay attention to traffic rules when cycling, and cycling is prohibited in the city center.
In short, Utrecht is an ancient and romantic city that is worth spending some time exploring. I believe a 2-3 day itinerary can give you a rough idea of the beauty of this city. If you have the chance, be sure to experience the fun of cycling around the town, which will leave a lasting memory of your trip.
Dom Cathedral Utrecht
Visited the Dom Cathedral in Utrecht and it was spectacular. The Cathedral was built in the 13th century and it’s architecture was marvellous. I have visited many cathedrals but have never seen one so grand in size.
It has a rich history and definitely a highlight to visit when you are in Utrecht! The is also the Dom Tower but do book your tickets in advance as we could not get tickets on the day itself as they were sold out:”) You can’t enter the Dom Tower without a guided tour but you can enter the cathedral free of charge! Feel free to make a donation while you are there as well.
The Dom Tower overlooks the entire city and I’ll definitely be back for it the next time!
oudegracht Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Utrecht is a small yet very beautiful city in the Netherlands. It is reachable by train and other type of transportation for only 30 minutes from Amsterdam. Utrecht has many canals, and it is famous also for the restaurants along the canals which can be a little bit pricey. Overall, it is a very relaxing city for you to hang around, as this city also has a university, so most people here are students #HalloTrip
